Parents, students warned to be alert following stranger-danger incident

Buffalo police are are advising students and parents to be aware following a report of a stranger-danger incident that occurred early Wednesday morning.

Police said a 15-year-old female student was walking to a bus stop near East Delavan and Freund Street at about 6:45am when a man approached her and asked her to perform a sexual act. The incident is being investigated by police

Police said the student refused the suspect's request to get into his vehicle. The suspect is described as  a black man with a light complexion, who is about 5'8" tall and 170 lbs. The suspect is known to police, who are asking students and parents to be aware and alert.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call the police TIP CALL line at 847-2255.
