The race for the Erie County comptroller's seat continues to rack up endorsements on both sides.
Stefan Mychaliw has, for the first time, snagged a coveted endorsement from the Good Government Club of Western New York. The incumbent Republican comptroller said he was delighted to receive the endorsement since many of its members are Democrats who recognize his hard work.
The group sent Mychajliw a letter stating it has “purchased TV time” to further promote his candidacy.
Democratic challenger Vanessa Glushefski has won an endorsement from the Buffalo Teachers Federation, her 10th union endorsement and 19th major endorsement to date, according to her campaign.
“The BTF works for the betterment of our community by protecting public education and fighting for students and classroom teachers, “ Glushefski said. “I’m honored to accept their endorsement.”
