Son arrested after letting air out of mother's tires

A Cheektowaga man who let the air out of the tires of his mother's car after they argued in an Orchard Park parking lot was arrested after police said he also resisted officers and had to be subdued.

Erie Roman, 29, of Slate Creek Drive, was charged with criminal tampering, obstruction and resisting arrest after the incident that began in the parking lot of the Tabernacle on Southwestern Boulevard, Orchard Park police said.

Roman broke his mother's phone and threatened her during an argument in the car, police said. When she left the car to call 911, he deflated the tires.

He was being held in the Erie County Holding Center after being unable to post $1,000 bail or $5,000 bond.
