Could Ryan Fitzpatrick be the Bucs QB next week against the Bills?

Among the many injuries Sunday, one in particular bears watching for Bills fans.

Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston left the game against the Arizona Cardinals in the first quarter with a right shoulder injury and is listed as doubtful to return.

That could mean former Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick might be leading the Bucs into New Era Field next Sunday.

Winston appeared to be hurt on a hit from Cardinals linebacker Chandler Jones on the first series. Winston landed awkwardly on the shoulder on a third-down throw.

He remained in the game for that series and two more before being pulled. Winston was 5-for-10 for 51 yards.

He was replaced by Fitzpatrick, making Winston the next victim of the Fitzpatrick Curse. Much like in his previous stops around the league, Fitzpatrick signed to be the backup in Tampa Bay but is getting time because the starter got hurt.

The Tampa Bay Times went into detail on "The Curse" at the end of training camp.

The Buccaneers trailed 24-0 at halftime, but Fitzpatrick helped the Bucs rally. A third-quarter touchdown made Fitzpatrick the fourth quarterback to throw a TD pass with seven teams, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Working from a huge deficit, Fitzpatrick finished 22-for-32 for 290 yards and three three touchdowns. He also threw two interceptions. The final score was a 38-33 loss for Tampa Bay.

Winston told reporters after the game that he expects to be back "soon," although he provided no details. He said he wanted to go back in the game Sunday.
