A Batavia woman was injured after she was struck by her own car, according to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office.
Roxanne Winegar, 61, was parking the vehicle in her driveway just after 11 p.m. Tuesday when she got out of the vehicle, believing she had placed the car's stick shift gear into park, the Sheriff's Office said.
However, the car rolled backward and the driver's side door struck Winegar, knocking her to the ground, the Sheriff's Office said.
As the vehicle continued its backward descent, it rolled over Winegar's left arm and leg, the Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities said the vehicle was not damaged.
