From creepy to campy, Screening Room sets the mood on horror nights

The Screening Room's Halloween Horrorfest is an intense celebration of horror films with a decades-long span of films. The schedule ranges from the 1922 silent vampire film "Nosferatu" to the immortally bad "Plan 9 from Outer Space," the George A. Romero zombie classic "Night of the Living Dead" and even two Dario Argento films ("Deep Red" and "Cat O'Nine Tails").

At 9:30 p.m. Oct. 21, there will be a Movie Trivia Night: Horror Edition. (It is paired with a 7:30 p.m. showing of "Tales from the Crypt" if you want to do a double feature.) Other highlights include an early double feature on Oct. 29 with Vincent Price in "House on Haunted Hill" (6 p.m.) and "Plan 9 From Outer Space" (7:30 p.m.). The series ends on Oct. 30 and 31 with a double feature of "Young Frankenstein" (7:30 p.m.) and "Night of the Living Dead" (9:30 p.m.)

Vincent Price stars in "House on Haunted Hill."

Tickets are $6, $8 for a double feature. Here is a listing of films in alphabetical order to make it easier to find movies by titles. For the full calendar, which lists all the double features, visit
