So, the Bills are 3-2. They were 3-2 at this point last year, and the year before that, and the year before that. None of those teams made the playoffs.
Is this year different? Who knows. But maybe it's too soon to get caught up worrying about the playoffs. "In case anyone forgot," Vic Carucci wrote, "it's still all about the future."

Anthem update: NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suggested in a letter to owners that the NFL wants to mandate that players stand during the anthem. ESPN reported that the Dallas chapter of the United Labor Unions filed a complaint against the Cowboys, "alleging that owner and general manager Jerry Jones has violated the National Labor Relations Act by threatening players if they choose not to stand for the national anthem."
