The Buffalo Passport Agency, 111 Genesee St., will hold a special Passport Day to encourage passport applications and renewals from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 as part of the U.S. State Department’s Passport Awareness Month.
Costs for first-time applicants are $30 plus a $25 execution fee for a passport card, $110 plus $25 for a passport book, and $140 plus $25 for both card and book. Credit cards, personal checks or exact cash are accepted. For more information on fees and the forms and documents needed to apply, visit travel.state.gov.
No appointment is needed. Applicants can choose between routine service, which takes four to six weeks for a passport, or expedited service, which takes two to three weeks and cost an extra $60.
