Brandon Tate spent five seasons with the Bengals and was the franchise's career leader in combined kick and punt return yards when he was released at the end of training camp in 2016.
Tate, now in his second season with the Bills, returned to Cincinnati on Sunday and caught a touchdown. It was his first reception of the season and his first TD reception since October 2015.
That led a fan in the stands to attempt to toss beer on Tate. He missed, and wasted his beer, too.
He is not the first player to have something thrown at him in the corner of the end zone in Cincinnati. A hat was thrown at Bengals QB Andy Dalton after the season opener.
