A Buffalo man was arrested after a raid on a Niagara Street house Wednesday afternoon turned up 4 grams of the deadly opioid fentanyl, packing material, cutting agents and more than $4,000 in cash, the Erie County Sheriff's Office said.
The Erie County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit conducted the raid at a house on Niagara Street near Rhode Island Street.
Jose Andino, 43, was charged with one felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony count of criminal possession of a narcotic and three misdemeanor counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Sheriff's officials said he has two previous federal drug trafficking convictions.
Andino was being held at the Erie County Holding Center Thursday pending his arraignment in Buffalo City Court.
