Pedestrian hit by car in Dunkirk grocery parking lot

A Dunkirk woman was injured Wednesday when she was hit by a car in the parking lot of a Tops Friendly Markets in Dunkirk.

Corinne M. Crino, 84, of Dunkirk, was ticketed with failure to yield the right of way after her vehicle struck Margaret Steffan, 68, of Dunkirk, Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies said.

Steffan was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital for treatment following the 10:13 a.m. accident at the grocery store at 3955 Vineyard Drive, according to the sheriff's department.
