Bills add two safeties as part of roster moves

The Buffalo Bills had a busy Tuesday of transactions to deal with injuries from Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Besides re-signing wide receiver Philly Brown, the Bills also re-signed safety Trae Elston and signed another safety, Shamarko Thomas.

The Bills had waived Elston, whom they claimed off waivers from the Cleveland Browns, on Sept. 19. Thomas was with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2013 to 2016, and was with the New York Jets during the past offseason and preseason.

To make room for the additions, the Bills placed safety Colt Anderson, who suffered a broken arm against the Falcons, on their injured-reserve list, and released defensive end Eric Lee and safety Robert Blanton.
