UB's downtown Gateway Building closed Monday

The University at Buffalo Gateway Building on Goodell Street will be closed on Monday due to a water leak in its heating system, the university reported Sunday night.

The water leak, affecting floors 2 through 5, forced the building to close Sunday. The leak was repaired by UB Facilities employees, who are also clearing the building of water. Crews will remain on the scene.

All employees should avoid the site until further notice, and contact their supervisors for direction.

Currently the building houses Family Medicine, UBMD, Urban Design & Regional Planning, and other initiatives and partners.

Updates will be posted at the university's official site for emergency planning and procedures.
