Art workshops for kids at the Carnegie Art Center

The Carnegie Art Center in North Tonawanda will offer art workshops for kids, taught by award-winning illustrator Carlos Torres.

A comic book art workshop will teach kids the basics for creating their own comic book pages, from character development to page layout, from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 7.  It is open to children ages 8 and up.

A kids' watercolor workshop with a Halloween theme will be offered for kids ages 6 to 12 at 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 14. The class will teach the basics of painting with watercolors.

The fee for each class is $15 for Carnegie members, $19 for nonmembers.
