Letter: Players are disparaging our military and veterans

Players are disparaging our military and veterans

Enough is enough. I am sick and tired of the NFL players saying that they are not disparaging the military or veterans when they kneel during the national anthem when in fact that’s exactly what they are doing. And what LeSean McCoy did last Sunday was disgusting, stretching while the anthem was playing.

Memo to Jim Kelly: You have nothing to apologize for! I thought the same thing even before I heard your comments. I could not believe what I was seeing. McCoy made a mockery of the protests by doing what he was doing. Kudos to the gentleman who worked for the Bills for 30-plus years and couldn’t take it anymore and took his shirt off and quit in disgust.

Although President Trump could have used better language, he was right. One thing about Trump is he is not and never will be politically correct.

I have a question for Roger Goodell, Terry and Kim Pegula and the other owners. If what the players are doing is so great, then why doesn’t Colin Kaepernick have a job? Yeah, just what I thought. Surely there has to be a better way than this.
