STITCH IN TIME – The Buffalo/Niagara Chapter of the American Sewing Guild will begin its new season at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 205 Longmeadow Road, Eggertsville. The session will feature the group’s annual tea party and a program on sewing machine care and maintenance presented by Marie and Don Walters of Marie’s Sewing Center in Lockport and Eden. WELCOME MAT – A new culinary arts center and a new biology lab and science wing will be on display when Cardinal O’Hara High School, 39 O’Hara Road, Town of Tonawanda, holds open house sessions from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The school band, ensembles and choirs also will perform.
On Friday evening, the O’Hara Home School Association hosts a meat raffle and basket raffle. Doors open at 6 p.m. First spin is at 7. Admission is $5 and includes beer, wine and pop.
