Sisters of Mercy support parenting program for homeless women

The Sisters of Mercy "Many Faces of Mercy" program recently pledged $1,800 to promote parenting education at Cornerstone Manor, an emergency shelter and temporary housing complex for women and their children, said Kathy Diina, grants manager for Many Faces of Mercy.

It was part of nine grants totaling $17,100 that Sisters of Mercy provided to Buffalo area nonprofits that serve women and girls.

The $1,800 was given to EPIC, or Every Person Influences Children, to pay for parenting and family engagement workshops at Cornerstone.
