A Chautauqua County man sought by authorities on an outstanding warrant for drug-related charges was arrested Thursday by deputies after he was stopped while driving on Route 20 in the Town of Sheridan, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office.
Benjamin M. Gray, 26, of Sinclairville, had been wanted on charges of third-degree criminal possession of controlled substance, third-degree criminal sale of controlled substance and second-degree burglary, the Sheriff's Office said.
Gray is accused by authorities of selling quantities of crystal methamphetamine to an agent of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force in Fredonia, the Sheriff's Office said.
Authorities with a warrant searched the vehicle Gray was driving when he was stopped and seized over 20 grams of methamphetamine, along with scales and packaging materials for the processing and sale of narcotics, the Sheriff's Office said. Gray faces multiple additional felony charges, authorities said.
Gray was held in Chautauqua County Jail without bail, pending further action by Fredonia Village Court.
