If the Buffalo Bills aren't trying to send a message to Colton Schmidt, it's hard to imagine the punter feeling all that comfortable this week.
That's because the team has worked out not one, not two, but three free agents at his position.
The Buffalo News learned that the latest was Matt Wile, who was with the Arizona Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons last season. He was in for a closer look by the team's player-personnel staff. Wile also had brief stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers, with whom General Manager Brandon Beane served as assistant GM and coach Sean McDermott was defensive coordinator.
It was previously reported that the Bills also had punters Matt Darr and Derek Hart in workouts this week.
