UB architecture school presents "Border Crossing" talks

Talks by architects, designers, urban planners and researchers will be held as part of the "Border Crossing" series this fall at the University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning.

The talks start at 6 p.m. in Hayes Hall.

Among upcoming speakers:

Oana Stanescu, founding partner of New-York-based the Family, which seeks to make cities better places to live, will speak Sept. 20.

Nader Tehrani, researcher of material properties, will speak Oct. 4.

Three-day conference on "Frank Lloyd Wright and the Buffalo School of Arts & Crafts" will be held Oct. 20-22.

Mason White, founding partner at Toronto-based Lateral Office, will speak Oct. 25.

James DeFilippis, a researcher on the politics and economics of cities and communities, will speak Nov. 8.
