A Buffalo resident faces 12 charges, including arson, after being arrested Saturday for allegedly setting fire to two vehicles. Police said the fires then spread to the rear part of a Harriet Avenue home where six people were inside.
Police arrested Ciara Medina, 20, of Custer Street on charges of arson, six counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Medina is accused of setting two vehicles on fire about 3 a.m. Saturday with an accelerant, causing extensive damage to both. The fire extended to a rear structure of 93 Harriet, in the Bailey-East Delavan avenues area, which police said was occupied by two adults and four children.
No information was available on the six people, but Buffalo fire officials said $200 in exposure damage was reported for a carriage house on the property.
