Two early-morning robberies in two different parts of the city occurred within a half hour of each other Saturday.
The first happened around midnight in Cazenovia Park in South Buffalo, where the victim told police he was sitting on a park bench. He was hit on the left side of his head by three males who beat him up and stole his wallet containing $30 and his license.
The second robbery happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Walden Avenue and Sumner Place, near Bailey Avenue, according to police reports. The victim told police two men approached him from behind, hit him on the left side of his head and knocked him to the ground. His attackers stole $22 and an iPhone.
The victim was taken to Buffalo General Hospital for treatment.
