A Buffalo man is accused of punching and choking a woman in front of three children in a West Side apartment early Thursday morning, according to a city police report.
Aaron J. Wright, 32, of Crestwood Avenue, was accused of attacking the woman just before 1 a.m., causing one of her eyes to swell shut, according to the police report. He also choked her, causing her to pass out, police said. He is accused of coming back around 5 a.m. and trying to break into her apartment. After a vehicle pursuit, police said they found Wright under a bush in a side yard on Richmond Avenue.
Wright was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree strangulation, aggravated criminal contempt, first-degree criminal contempt, third-degree assault, false personation, child endangerment, trespassing and second-degree harassment, according to police.
An order of protection was in place barring contact between Wright and the victim, according to the report.
