An Orchard Park woman was charged Tuesday with aggravated DWI and felony DWI under Leandra's law after she was seen driving erratically on Thorn Avenue with a 15-year-old female passenger in her car, Orchard Park police said.
When police stopped the car operated by Nicole Fronczak, 42, officials said in a press release, she "appeared to be highly intoxicated, failed field sobriety tests, and screened positive for alcohol."
Fronczak was taken to the police station where a breath test indicated her blood alcohol level was .25 percent, more than three times the legal limit for drinking and driving.
She was charged with DWI common law, aggravated DWI, felony DWI because of the minor in her car, endangering the welfare of a child and failure to stay in her lane. She was released and scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
