Candlelight tour of Hull House to feature Civil War scenarios

The annual Civil War Candlelight Tour of the Hull Family Home and Farmstead in Lancaster will take place Sept. 30.

The unique event presents theatrically scripted Civil War scenarios by candlelight. Small group tours are led from scene to scene by a docent guide throughout the evening. This year's tour will feature all new scenarios centered on events, people and their impact on the Civil War.

The first tour begins at 5:30 p.m. at the house, 5976 Genesee St. at Pavement Road. Tickets are pre-sale only, and are $12 per person.

The stone Hull house was built in 1810 by Warren Hull, a Revolutionary War veteran.
