John Murphy Show recap: Bills-Lions fallout, guest Lorenzo Alexander

Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander joined John Murphy and Donald Jones on WGR-550 AM on Friday.

Alexander reiterated the importance of the fourth preseason game for competition and opportunities for players who might not get a look otherwise to be showcased. Alexander talked about the lack of malice involved in competitions and why that makes it easier to root for someone who could theoretically take your job.

Alexander also touched on the importance of the defense getting turnovers in the regular season to support "my ball" mentality. He ended by talking about his community service and how important he feels it is to give back in Buffalo.

Chris Brown, of, also joined the show to discuss the final preseason game, his enjoyment of the run game, whether Jonathan Williams is an improvement over Mike Gillislee, "Peterman fever" sweeping Western New York, putting together a team versus accumulating talent, and preparations for Week One.
