The Sabres employees who serve as the faces of media and community relations have been promoted.
The team announced Thursday that Chris Bandura has been promoted to vice president of media relations. He served as director of media relations last year.
In his 13th season with the organization, Bandura enters his second in charge of all media relations duties for the Sabres and Buffalo Bandits. He oversees communications for both teams while serving as the Sabres' spokesman and primary media contact.
Buffalo has also promoted Rich Jureller to vice president of community relations. He was director of community relations for the last six seasons.
As head of the community relations department and president of the Sabres Foundation, he is responsible for overseeing the team's community outreach initiatives and all Sabres Foundation events. Jureller joined the team as promotions coordinator in 2005-06.
