Two men were arrested on drug charges following a raid at a Jefferson Avenue house Tuesday afternoon by the Erie County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit, the sheriff's office announced Wednesday.
Sheriff's department narcotics detectives, joined by Buffalo and Cheektowaga police narcotics units, entered the house on Jefferson between North and South Division streets at about 4:45 p.m. and seized "felony amounts" of cocaine and marijuana, hydrocodone pills, a .38-caliber revolver and more than $5,000 in cash, along with a cutting agent and drug paraphernalia.
Lorenzo Brodie, 29, and Lajuan Brodie, 24, were arrested. Lorenzo Brodie was charged with a felony count of criminal possession of marijuana and misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Lajuan Brodie was charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a narcotic, criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell and criminal possession of a firearm.
Both defendants were being held at the Erie County Holding pending their arraignment in Buffalo City Court.
