Starpoint hockey becomes newest member of The Fed

The Western New York Varsity Hockey Federation is growing by one team as Starpoint will join the league effective this season.

Starpoint will play in one of the small schools divisions, which include the likes of Kenmore West, Kenmore East, Williamsville East and Lewiston-Porter.

Clayton Wilson will be coach and the Spartans' first game in the Fed is at 6 p.m. Nov. 29 against Kenmore West at Hockey Outlet.

Starpoint also has a junior varsity and modified teams but they will remain playing in their respective club leagues.

The addition of Starpoint means the league known as The Fed now has 25 teams.
