Rochester Amerks add two players on minor-league contracts

The Sabres continued to stock the Rochester Americans with experienced players Wednesday, adding a forward and defenseman on one-year, American Hockey League contracts.

Defenseman Conor Allen, who has seven games of NHL experience with the New York Rangers, joins the Amerks after playing last season with the Grand Rapids Griffins. The 27-year-old had one goal, 11 points and 49 penalty minutes in 56 games.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder played three seasons at UMass-Amherst before AHL stops with Hartford, Milwaukee, Binghamton and Iowa.
