Morning Pitch: Celery's last race, and a baseball game

It's the day everyone has been waiting for: Celery's last race. In addition, the Buffalo Bisons and Pawtucket Red Sox will play a game before the beloved WCC Race. Here's the skinny:

Game time: 7:05 p.m.  (Gates open at 6 p.m.)

Weather: A beautiful day for baseball according to Sun and a few passing clouds. High around 75.

Probables: The Bisons are scheduled to start lefty Brett Oberholtzer while Pawtucket will start lefty Roenis Elias.

Promotion: It's the 30th Anniversary Celebration. Among the promotions will be a 2004 Championship Banner Replica Giveaway to the first 3,000 fans, a special happy hour from 6-7 p.m. featuring $3 craft beer, $1 hot dogs the entire game, and a Jeff Manto autograph session from 7-8 p.m. The Bisons have a fan guide available online with all the details.

Celery's last race: It will be the last race for the popular Celery in the WCC mascot race. The race will take place after the game.

The homestand: Thursday is the final game at Coca-Cola Field for the 2017 season. Lefty Ryan Borucki will make his Triple-A debut on Fan Appreciation Night. Borucki is the top-rated left-handing pitching prospect in the Blue Jays organization. Justin Haley is scheduled to start for Pawtucket on Thursday.
