The Lewiston Town Board voted Monday to schedule a public hearing on a residential subdivision plan that includes 95 new homes in the southwestern part of the town.
The hearing is set for 5:30 p.m. Sept. 11 in Town Hall, 1375 Ridge Road.
Building Inspector Timothy R. Masters said Rubino Brothers Construction plans to build 88 single-family homes and four townhouses near Bridle Path and Paddock lanes, as well as three houses on Upper Mountain Road.
Masters said the original plan called for 119 single-family homes and 16 townhouses, but the project was cut back because of confirmed wetlands on the site. Masters said there will now be only one entrance road from Upper Mountain, not two as originally proposed. The subdivision is to be constructed in three phases.
