Man accused of breaking down door, pointing gun in OP domestic

A Buffalo man turned himself in to Orchard Park police overnight Tuesday after, authorities say, he broke down the front door of his ex-girlfriend's apartment in the Village of Orchard Park and pointed a handgun at her new boyfriend.

Police received a call about the incident shortly after 7:30 p.m. The ex-boyfriend, identified as Michael S. O'Neill, had left the scene in his car, described as a gray Saturn Vue SUV. Police searched the area but did not find him or the vehicle. Orchard Park police alerted area law enforcement agencies about O'Neill. His age was not provided.

Several hours later, O'Neill turned himself in at the Orchard Park Police Department. His gun was also recovered.

O'Neill is set to be charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree menacing and third-degree criminal mischief. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning in Village Court.
