ALDI will reopen Cheektowaga store Friday

ALDI will reopen its store at 1685 Walden Ave. in Cheektowaga on Friday.

The store closed while it was being remodeled under the company's more modern concept. The new layout focuses on fresh items such as produce, dairy and bakery and has updated decor, open ceilings and natural lighting.

The store was renovated using environmentally friendly building supplies such as recycled materials, LED lighting and energy conserving refrigeration. It's the sixth ALDI in Western New York to get the overhaul, after stores in Amherst, Blasdell, Dunkirk, West Seneca and the Town of Tonawanda.
