University at Buffalo logo installed on new medical school

In another sign that the new home of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo is nearing completion, the university’s bright-blue lettered logo is now in place near the top of the building overlooking the corner of Allen and Main streets.

The logo was designed to be halo-illuminated, so at nighttime it will be backlit against the building.

It was manufactured by ASI Signage Innovations on Grand Island, which also manufactured and installed the building's other exterior and interior signs.

Faculty and staff are expected to begin moving into the $375 million medical school in October, with students attending their first classes there in January.
