A woman was injured Monday night when a car struck her as she was walking near the intersection of Niagara and Hudson streets, Buffalo police said.
The vehicle was southbound on Niagara and went through a red light at 9:15 p.m. when it hit the woman. Police did not say where the woman was when she was hit. The vehicle also hit a bus shelter.
The woman and the driver of the car, identified only as a 34-year-old Buffalo woman, were both transported to Erie County Medical Center where they were treated and released.
The driver was issued two tickets: one for unlicensed operation of a vehicle and the other for going through a red light.
