Bills players send love to Houston

Current and former Buffalo Bills are stepping up to help Houston during the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey.

Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes posted on Instagram, saying that he'll donate $25,000 to Mayor Sylvester Turner's Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. He also said he would give $5,000 for each sack he records and called on his teammates, friends and the Bills Mafia to donate, too.

Hughes is from Sugar Land, Texas, a city southwest of Houston that's been hit hard by the hurricane.

But Hughes isn't the only Bill stepping up to help hurricane relief efforts.

Bills great Thurman Thomas was born in Houston and has a lot of family there. Thomas and his wife, Patricia, have been tweeting since the hurricane began, asking for prayers for family and those in need. The Hall of Famer tweeted late Monday night that his family was safe.
