Bachelorette party leads to DWI for Depew woman

A Depew woman was charged with driving while intoxicated early Saturday after the vehicle she was operating became stuck on railroad tracks, City of Tonawanda police said.

Ashley N. King, 30, of Dick Road, got her vehicle stuck on the CSX railroad crossing on Wheeler Street, said Capt. Frederic Foels.

Train traffic was stopped, and police and a passerby removed the vehicle from the train crossing, Foels said.

King told police she had attended a bachelorette party at an area bar, Foels said. She was also cited for failure to keep right.
