St. Bonaventure is off to an undefeated start in 2017 after a dramatic, come-from-behind 3-2 win in double overtime against Robert Morris.
The Bonnies trailed 2-0 with less than 15 minutes remaining in the game when Paul Afful cut the deficit in half from 20 yards out off a pass from Kosi Nwafornso. Six minutes later, Nwafornso equalized off an Afful corner kick on a one-timer.
Just over a minute into the second 10-minute overtime period, Remi Dujardin's corner kick deflected off a Robert Morris defender and in for the winner to improve SBU to 2-0.
Niagara didn't fare nearly as well in its match, suffering a 6-1 defeat against Belmont.
Matt Krucko-Moeller scored the Purple Eagles' lone goal with less than five minutes remaining and the Bruins already up 6-0. Niagara is now 0-2 on the season.
Both teams are back in action on Friday, with the Bonnies playing University of Texas Rio Grande Valley at 8 p.m. at a neutral site in Texas and Niagara playing Central Connecticut State in Vermont at 4:30 p.m.
