Motorcyclist sustains serious leg injuries in crash with deer

A Jamestown man was injured Friday when his motorcycle collided with a deer in the Town of Hanover, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office.

The 49-year-old man, whose name was not released by authorities, was traveling north on Hanover Road shortly before 10 p.m., when the deer entered the road and collided with his motorcycle, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The motorcyclist sustained a serious leg injury and was flown by Star Flight helicopter to Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pa., deputies said.
