A popular local deli will open up its fourth location this fall inside the new John R. Oishei Children's Hospital.
Joe's Deli will open in November on the hospital's second floor, serving its specialty sandwiches, wraps and soups from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day, in addition to other options made fresh daily.
The menu will include favorites like Jimmy's Cuban, Reuben, The Cutlet, Gill's Tuna Monster, I Love Lucy and Sweet Baby James, as well as a choice of four daily soups, a ready-made hot entree and sides, a salad bar, a kid's menu and a grab-and-go cooler. There's also a unique "OCH" sandwich that will be customized by deli and hospital staff.
Its newest site joins a Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop at the hospital, as well as the Conventus Cafe at the Oishei Children's Outpatient Center and a cafeteria inside the connected Buffalo General Medical Center.
Kaleida has previously said it would not include a full-scale cafeteria to the new children's hospital, but instead would offer grab-and-go options.
Joe's Deli will provide an online pre-ordering system for its Oishei location.
Joe's Deli already operates three sites, including on Hertel and Elmwood avenues in Buffalo and on Maple Road in Williamsville.
