Excelsior Orthopaedics has begun construction on a $4 million medical office at a new location in Niagara Falls.
The new office at 10175 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Porter and Williams roads, will replace the practice's office at 6934 Williams, where Excelsior has served patients on a limited basis since 2013.
The new building is 16,765 square feet and also will include the primary care practice of Frank R. Laurri, M.D. & Associates. Both will be tenants in the building owned by Joe Smith, president of David Chevrolet Buick.
Excelsior will take up about 9,800 square feet in the new building, considerably more room than in its current location.
In the expanded Niagara Falls office, Excelsior now will offer rehabilitation services, physical and occupational therapy, on-site digital X-rays and a wider array of durable medical equipment. Work on the office began in May and should wrap up by November.
Excelsior has a main campus on Sheridan Drive in Amherst and a second satellite location in Orchard Park.
