The Niagara County Sheriff's Office Thursday was seeking the cause of a house fire in Royalton.
The fire was reported by a neighbor about 4:28 p.m., according to the Sheriff's Office. When deputies arrived at the address, 8132 West Ave., they saw flames coming from a second-story window on the east side of the residence, according to authorities.
Deputies said the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
Firefighters from the Gasport Chemical Hose Fire Company and Terry's Corners Fire Company arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire.
A damage estimate was not available Thursday.
