A 25-year-old Buffalo man is in custody after the stolen vehicle he was driving collided with a Buffalo police cruiser that was responding to a gun call Thursday morning on the city's East Side, police said.

Two police officers were injured in the crash, as was the driver of the stolen vehicle. All three were taken to Erie County Medical Center and none of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

One of the officers was treated and released from the hospital, according to police.

The incident happened at 2:20 a.m. near Bailey Avenue and Doat Street. The officers were heading north on Bailey when their vehicle was broadsided by a vehicle going west on Doat, police said.

Charges against the driver are being finalized and the vehicle is also in police custody, Buffalo police said.
