WBFO to stop airing NPR series 'Car Talk'

WBFO-FM has declined the offer of carrying reruns of the popular show "Car Talk" and is ending its triple run on Sept. 23. It will be replaced the following week at 11 a.m. Sunday by TED Radio Hour, at 6 a.m. Saturday by "Marketplace Weekend" and at 10 a.m. Saturday by "Planet Money/How Built This."

“Car Talk” was an NPR series featuring Tom and Ray Magliozzi, who took calls about car repair. Reruns of the show began airing after Tom Magliozzi's death in 2014.
