After the rain
Into each life a little rain must fall, as the saying goes.
But on Tuesday, a whole lot of cats and dogs came raining down on Buffalo.
There were reports of heavy downpours and downed trees across the area. The National Weather Service even issued a tornado watch for all of Western New York.
With all the wild and crazy weather, how nice it was to see a rainbow form in North Buffalo.
For anyone else who saw it, hope you found that pot of gold!
And the beat goes on
The Albright-Knox Art Gallery announced the Buffalo Chamber Players for the 2017-18 season.
The chamber music ensemble comprises members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and area musicians.
The concert series aims “to challenge, redefine and enhance the public’s perception of chamber music while promoting the City of Buffalo and our region as a culturally vibrant place to live, work and play,” said BPO violist Janz Castelo, who formed the Buffalo Chambers Players.
The group will perform historical masterworks as well as contemporary works by living composers.
This concert series includes five performances this season:
- Bohemian Rhapsody: Sept. 28
- Dreams and Prayers: Nov. 16
- A Woman’s Work: Feb. 22
- Music of Weimar: April 26
- I Heard It at the AK: June 7
All concerts begin at 7:30 and will be held in the Albright-Knox auditorium.
