PAWTUCKET, R.I. — A huge night at the plate from Teoscar Hernandez and a solid performance by starter Joe Biagini gave the Buffalo Bisons a 6-2 win over the Pawtucket Red Sox at McCoy Stadium Tuesday night.
It was the second straight win for the Herd over the PawSox.
Hernandez drove in three runs on two home runs while Biagini picked up his first win with the Bisons.
The long ball: Hernandez scored the first run of the game in the first inning, hitting his second home run for the Bisons.
Adding to the lead: The Bisons expanded their lead in the third. Hernandez led off with a single then scored on a hit by Rowdy Tellez. Tellez then scored on an RBI single by Danny Jansen.
Answering with the long ball: Pawtucket cut the Herd’s lead to 3-2 in the fourth when former Bison Matt Dominguez hit a two-out, two-run home run to left field.
