Analyst: Sabres top pick a 'stud' this summer

After living up to the hype at Buffalo Sabres development camp in July, first-round pick Casey Mittelstadt has continued an impressive summer since being taken No. 8 overall in the 2017 draft.

"Casey Mittelstadt is a stud," NHL Network's Mike Kelly wrote. "Puck seemingly follows him around the ice and a few NHL guys raved about his skill level."

At the recent World Junior Summer Showcase, after being cut from Team USA in last year's event, Mittelstadt turned in another strong showing out in Michigan to give the Sabres' faithful even more reason to like its top pick heading into the season.
