Atlas Genius can't get enough of Buffalo, books next show

Just days after delivering its latest local performance, Atlas Genius wasted no time in announcing its next Buffalo gig, set for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 in Waiting Room (334 Delaware Ave.)

The Australian electro-pop act, led by the Jeffery brothers, is already a familiar name in the Western New York area after appearing in supporting roles at this summer's Edgefest: Part 3, on Aug. 19 at Artpark in Lewiston, as well as the Kerfuffle Before Christmas.

The group rose from a buzzy-worthy blog band to alternative-radio mainstays from the success of its polished first single "Trojans" back in 2013. Its most recent album, "Intimate Objects," was released in 2015.

A pair of Los Angeles-based bands, indie-folk outfit Magic Giant and alt-pop act Half the Animal, will open the October show.

Tickets are $20 in advance and will go on sale at 10 a.m. August 25 (box office, Ticketfly or charge by phone at 877 435-9849). Further event details can be found here.
