GOOD, J. William "Bill"
Good - J. William "Bill" Died at age 96, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, of natural causes in Venice, FL. Born in Buffalo, NY, he attended Bennett High School and the University of Buffalo. During World War II he was a Captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps (92nd Bomb Group) serving as a squadron navigator and earning the Distinguished Flying Cross. After returning home he formed his own company, Good Components, Inc., and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Brookfield Country Club. He was later active in the 8th Air Force Historical Society and Saint Patrick's church in Sarasota, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen (nee Glauber) Good; and his daughter Marcia (Paul) Bleeker; he is survived by six children, Diane (Pete) Waggoner, Sue (Joe) Mistrett, William J., Mary Anne (Mark) Coughlin, Amy (late Dick) Bergman, and Sara; along with 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; as well as his sister Jane (nee Good) Curtin. A military memorial service will be held in early fall at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.
